Morrissey Love

As you may guess from the title I have a lot of love for Morrissey!!! I love everything about him. His foul attitude, his flouncy shirts, the flowers and the quiff!!! Since I started fashion and making clothes I always said I was going design and make some clothes that reflect my love for Morrissey… Tomorrow may be the day I make 🙂

Surrealism Pictures

As promised, my paintings of surrealism. All acrylic on canvas. I’m not going to lie, painting the clown and ventriloquist face, terrified me (I have a fear of clowns and dolls and I’m not sure why I painted them). I had to face the paintings towards the wall when I was first painting them because they scared me. Eventually I began to love them. The ventriloquist face is actually my partner. I got a photo of him and turned him into a ventriloquist doll. I’m not sure he knows this!

Salvador Dali

I’ve always loved surrealism, to the point where I painted a huge picture of Man Ray’s ‘tears’ on my bedroom wall. I also created my own surrealism painting which if I can get hold of them I shall post pictures!

I find surrealism very inspirational, Salvador Dali in particular. His contributions and influences to fashion are incredible. His work with one of my favourite designers (Elsa Schiaparelli) is beautifully strange.

I will always look for inspiration in surrealism and the wonders of Elsa Schiaparelli <;3

Well… I’ve been a tad obsessed with despicable me for the past few weeks so I thought, why not put it to some good use? I decided to make some t-shirts and skirts with pretty unicorns printed onto them. I’ve just made the skirt and onto the t-shirt and prints today 🙂 I shall post pictures later but for now, the inspiration!

It’s so fluffyyyyy!!!! ❤

It’s been a while!

I’ve been a very busy bunny the past couple of months. I’ve been designing and making garments like a maniac!

I did a couple of markets in Manchester that went alright. Just trying to get my work out there and learn as much as I can about presentation and selling etc! So far so good.

Siouxsie Sioux

I’m a little bit in love with Siouxsie Sioux at the moment, so I’ve decided to channel the love in the form of a sketchbook and then hopefully into a collection of beautiful garments.

I first fell in love with her when I received a book on the Sex Pistols when I was around 12. The photo shoot I fell in love with was the 1976 seditionaries shoot by Richard Young. Her combination of ribbons, lace and dominance is incredibly sexy. She was a whole different kind of punk and a whole different kind of woman.

I’m hoping the garments I eventually make inspired by Siouxsie Sioux will be interesting, feminine and beautiful.
